Koji Ariyoshi was born in Osaka, Japan in 1973.
After graduating from university, he moved to Tokyo to work in sales for CG oriented animation company. He fell in love with movie making then, and changed job from sales to actual production. There, he met director Jun Wakabayashi, who had just moved from Seattle.
Ariyoshi tried to move up from assistant level to a director, but gave up to become a fire fighter after being inspired by the movie "Back Draft." After serving a few years in front of the fire, he was transferred to Tokyo Fire Department main headquarter to serve as video production specialist thanks to his background.
Ariyoshi first started helping on LIFE production as assistant director, but his unique character was chosen by producers to take part in the movie in front of the camera.

1973年 大阪生まれ。
大学卒業後に上京し、営業マンとして映像関係の仕事を始める。 その後、転職してアシスタントディレクターとなり、数多くのテレビ番組の制作に携わる。
この会社での仕事が、監督の若林ジュンと出会うきっかけとなる。
数年後、消防官に転職。
現在は消防官として、都民の安全を守るという仕事に邁進している。
「全く演技の勉強をしたことがないので、実はものすごく恥ずかしかった。」
とは本人談だが、演技に向き合う姿勢は真剣そのもの。
彼の素顔は、常に周りを楽しませてくれる明るいキャラクターである。
