Kinlay's mastermind Andy Kinlay originally came from Manchester, UK. He then traveled around the world, living at various places you can possibly think of, and ended up in Japan.
Not long after settling in Japan, he started his own production company called, East Point Production, which specializes in organizing events around Tokyo such as the Jam Session held at What the Dickens every month, where director Wakabayashi first saw him perform.
This talented musician not only writes and plays numerous instruments, but he can also sing variety of styles of music, from rapping and beatboxing to soft vocal like of Coldplay. |

Kinlayという名で活動しているアンディー・キンレイの出身地はイギリス、マンチェスターであるが、６年ほど世界色々と歩き回り、現在は日本で暮らしている。
日本に来て間もなく、イーストポイント・プロダクションを設立し、東京近辺での音楽をメインとしたイベントをよく主催している。その内の一つ、恵比寿のバー What the Dickensで毎月行われている、The Jam Sessionで監督の若林ジュンと出会うきっかけとなる。
彼のボーカルスタイルには壁はなく、ラップからバラードまでなんでもこなし、曲も自分で作曲・作詞する天才ミュージシャンでもある。 |
