Moha Garden came together when guitarist/arranger, Narita, and bass player, Mikamo, finally found a singer/songwriter Rie Imanaka after years of searching.
From spring of 2004, Moha Garden played at various lives houses in Tokyo area, mostly doing covers such as Avril Lavigne, Michelle Branch, as well as classics such as Beatles and Led Zeppelin.
Prior to joining Moha Garden, Imanaka had never played a guitar before, but she learned to play and write songs in matter of days. "Darci" is one of the first songs Imanaka had written. Rumor is that the band name, Moha Garden's "Moha", comes from the cameraman, Moha, who also helped in this production.

成田（ギター）と美甘（ベース）が共に数年間活動しながらヴォーカルを探していたところに、今中里枝が参加し、2004年3月にMoha Garden を結成。2004年5月より、様々なパブやライブハウスで、ライブ活動を開始する。
始めた当初は今中が好きだった、アブリル・ラヴィ−ンやミッシェル・ブランチ等をカバーしていたが、その他にもビートルズやレッド・ゼッペリン等の楽曲もカバーするようになる。
ヴォーカルとして参加した今中は、努力の甲斐あって数日間でギターを弾けるようになり、数ヵ月後には作曲も手がけるようになる。
「LIFE」のサントラに使用されている "Darci" は、彼女が一番最初に書いた記念すべき曲でもある。ちなみに "Moha Garden" の "Moha" は、本作品のカメラマンである「モハ」の名前の響きが気に入ってつけた名前らしい。 |
